Bulldog-Parent Support Squad Sign-Up Sheet
Dear Parents or Guardians,
Did you struggle with helping your student with his or her core subjects during virtual learning? Did you feel as if it had been so long since you last attended high school and that the work your loved ones brought home seemed a distant memory for you? Do you want to enter the 2021-2022 School Year knowing precisely what to say and how to help your student? Then the Bulldog-Parent Support Squad is where you want to be!
Although COVID-19 is not over, the 2021-2022 school year appears promising for students to have a total five-day return to the traditional setting. However, students are a year behind their studies after virtual learning and not physically interacting with their instructors face-to-face. Students and parents understand that the upcoming school year will be more challenging than ever. Students are trying to adjust to the traditional school setting while maintaining information learned from the virtual environment.
Therefore, to help mitigate the challenges students face in the 2021-2022 school year, the English Department of King's Fork High School has created the Bulldog-Parent Support Squad! This program is a 10-week FREE session explicitly targeted for parents to help assist with their loved one's studies in the core subject of English Language and Literature.
Parents can take one-hour (virtual) sessions for 10-weeks to help strengthen their reading and comprehension skills, grammar, mechanics, usage skills, figurative language skills, and essay writing essentials from an English Certified Teacher! In addition, parents also have the fantastic opportunity of attending SOL Reading and SOL Writing preparation to understand how to effectively help prepare their students with passing the reading and writing SOLs!
Equip yourself with the power and knowledge of being a bulldog supporting force for your loved one today!
*Times and dates for sessions are subject to change. Parents and guardians will receive a 24-hour notice of session cancellations.
