Friday, September 17th (5:00 pm) through Sunday, September 19th (1:30 pm)

The 2021 Parish Retreat will take place at the Bishop’s Ranch in Healdsburg (1.5 to 2 hours’ drive from All Souls). Our annual retreat is a special time for community building, spiritual growth and exploration. This inter-generational event includes activities for children, youth, families, and adults of all ages. In addition to the program of the retreat, the weekend includes free time for reflection, rest, adventuring, and fun. Pro tip: TAKE FRIDAY OFF OF WORK AND LEAVE AHEAD OF TRAFFIC.

This year's retreat will likely also feature a virtual option. The plan is to live stream the Saturday morning content to the Parish Hall at church. We'd like a 10-person minimum for this to run, so please know that if you're registering for the virtual retreat, there is a chance that it might not happen. If you are choosing that option, you can skip this portion about lodging, but please do still fill out the registration form below.

LODGING
Four types of lodging are available (specific room assignments are made by the staff):

Double Occupancy: Designated for couples and roommate pairs in Webb Lodge or Ranch House West Wing.
Standard/Family Occupancy: Designated for families or groups of adults in the Ranch House or Harrison House (all youth and children will lodge with their families, unlike we have done in previous years).
Dorm Occupancy in the Cottages: Families, and groups of adults excited to bunk together.
Camping – a lower cost alternative with space under the trees, using the bathrooms (with showers) by the pool.

YOUTH & CHILDREN
There is a parallel youth retreat for all middle and high school youth, however, due to the precautions we are taking for Covid, all youth will stay with their parents rather than in the cottages. They join with the rest of the group for meals, worship, and some of the whole-group activities. If a youth can only come on Saturday, they must arrive by 9am and stay through dinner. They must also stay with the youth crew during the program. We also ask that youth either join the youth the entire weekend or the adults for the entire weekend, but not do both.

For children (ages 3-5th grade) the programming will only take place during the adult programming on Saturday morning.

For kids under 3, if you are in need of a babysitter, please contact Emily ASAP so that we can try to arrange that for the Saturday morning portion of the retreat. Again, please note that babysitting is only available during the Saturday morning portion of the retreat. And again, please note...:)

COST
Our costs for the retreat are determined by the prices set by the Bishop’s Ranch, detailed below. Our goal is to make the retreat financially possible for all who wish to attend, and so if you would like to be considered as a recipient of a partnership scholarship to attend at a discounted rate, please contact Emily at emily@allsoulsparish.org. And, we welcome those who are able to contribute to the partnership fund to help others attend at this discounted rate!

If you are unable to attend for the full weekend, join us just for the day on Saturday! (Day use this year is a flat rate and includes all three meals.)

Children under age 3 are free. All costs listed below are per person.

FRIDAY— 5:00 pm and on, bring your own food and beverages to enjoy together. Friday evening is an informal social time to relax, get acquainted, and settle in. Dinner will not be provided, so please stop to eat en route or bring your dinner (there is a full kitchen in the Ranch House that is available for use). Evening prayer will begin at 7:45p on the lawn outside the Chapel or in the Chapel (with masks on).

SATURDAY — All three Saturday meals will be provided in the Ranch refectory. This morning, we begin the heart of the retreat for adults, youth, and children ages 3 - 10. Childcare can be provided for those too young or unable to join in with the programming (but please contact Emily if you're in need of childcare as we will need to arrange it). In the afternoon, enjoy free time to re-create, take your children to the fabulous swimming pool, or join in some great inter-generational activities. Before dinner on Saturday evening we will gather to socialize, (bring something to share!) and after dinner we will (likely) have our annual talent optional creativity night/show (think wild, fun, silly, entertainment – a chance to share your story with All Souls folks like never before!) and then close with Compline.

SUNDAY — We will gather in worship and perhaps an inter-generational game of kickball before heading home. Both breakfast and lunch at the refectory are included on Sunday.
