The process of waiting to be matched with a child can be exciting, confusing and frustrating at times. To assist you through this process, the MARE Adoption Navigators are hosting a Waiting Family Forum. Join us and learn exactly what happens to your inquiries after you submit them on the MARE website at www.mare.org; find out what you can do to make the most of your wait time; learn ways to strengthen your inquiries; get tips on how to effectively advocate for your family; and meet other waiting families.

Families who are approved to adopt and those waiting for their homestudy to be approved are welcome to attend. If you are in the beginning stages of adoption approval, I would suggest attending our next Adoption 101 training instead of this training.

Pre-registration is required. Please complete the questions below. The training is Free. You will be asked to complete a brief satisfaction survey at the conclusion of the training and we will email you a training certificate if requested.

Registration/login will start at 5:45pm

Location:
This training will be taking place on Zoom only. You will receive a reminder and the Zoom login information a few days before the training date. We will also be emailing you the PowerPoint presentation along with handouts an hour before the training. Please make sure you have Zoom downloaded on your computer or phone before the training starts and test to see if your microphone and camera is working. As you enter the training your microphone will be automatically muted. We do ask to turn your camera on so everyone can ask questions and participate.
