Honors Theatre Application 2023 - 2024
Applications for Proficient Honors and Advanced Honors are do by Thursday, 3/30. Rising juniors and seniors are eligible for these courses. Proficient is one semester and in the fall. It is paired with Advanced. Advanced students needs to register for both semesters!

The fall semester will have a performance of student directed scenes. You will be REQUIRED to attend 2-3 AFTER-SCHOOL rehearsals plus a performance evening. ARE YOU ABLE TO COMMIT TO THIS OBLIGATION? *
You will be REQUIRED to work on the HONORS THEATRE ENSEMBLE SHOW in the spring if you sign up for the ADVANCED course (two semesters, year long)? This will require 2-3 weeks of after school rehearsal. This performance is around Memorial Day. ARE YOU ABLE TO COMMIT TO THIS AFTER SCHOOL OBLIGATION? *
Attendance and Tardies
Honors Theatre Ensemble takes place during 1st period. It is essential to the success of the class and the end of semester performances that you show up and show up on time. The class and I need to know we can depend on you for this. In the spring, we produce a full show with 90% of the work being done during class.

Double digits for absences or tardies is a hindrance to what we do in the Honors Theatre Ensemble class. If you have a large amount of absences or tardies, provide some context. Also explain how you will work to change this next year if you are a member of the ensemble. Please understand that attendance and tardies will be factored into casting decisions.
