Toledo International Youth Orchestra is a 501c3 non-profit organization. We welcome members from all walks of life, regardless of personal or family income.

TIYO relies upon membership fees to remain solvent as an organization. When financial hardships occur, however, we encourage members to apply for financial assistance. While financial assistance is never guaranteed, the TIYO board regularly seeks donors to help offset member costs for those in need.

Types of Financial Assistance

Not all requests for financial assistance are the same. In some cases, a member may require full waiver of all annual membership fees. In other cases, the member may be able to contribute a portion of the membership fee, but not the full amount.

Please indicate below which type of financial assistance is being requested:

- Full Fee Student Waiver due to eligibility for free/reduced lunch. Member must be a student. Requires documentation verifying eligibility for free/reduced lunch in the current academic year.

- Full Fee Hardship Waiver - Member and/or member's family are experiencing financial hardship and unable to pay any portion of the annual membership fee. Requires a written statement explaining the current hardship circumstances.

- Partial Fee Hardship Waiver - Member and/or member's family are experiencing financial hardship and are able to pay a portion of the annual membership fee, but not the full amount. Requires a written statement explaining the current hardship circumstances and specifying the amount of financial assistance being requested in a dollar amount.

What's Next?

This application for financial aid will be reviewed together with documentation of eligibility. Please remember to email documentation verifying eligibility to tiyoinfo@gmail.com. Photos or scans of free/reduced lunch verification are acceptable. If a statement of hardship is required, simply send that information in an email with the subject line: Financial Assistance Request.

Once a determination of eligibility has been made, recipients will be notified by email of the results.
