Art Museum from Bed Host Application
Hi! My name is M. I'm a disabled/chronically ill/autistic artist in San Francisco. I make all my art at home, sometimes from my bed. For me, and lots of folks like me, access to art galleries and art museums is very limited. But contemporary art doesn't only belong to those spaces. It belongs in our spaces too!

I want to bring art from my home to yours so I created Art Museum from Bed. This project is bringing Emotion Models, a series of sculptures exploring emotions beyond the emotion wheel, into the homes and hands of disabled, chronically ill, mentally ill, fat, and neurodivergent folks who spend most of their time at home.

Live in the Bay Area? Disabled and home a lot? Interested in participating in an art exhibition by hosting a sculpture in your home? Please sign up as a potential Art Museum from Bed host below!

All throughout 2024 hosts will have a sculpture delivered to their home and installed by the artist. The artist will wear an N95 mask while in hosts homes. At the end of the two weeks the artist will come back to photograph the artwork, photograph the host, discuss your experience, and remove the artwork. There is no cost for participation.

Art Museum from Bed is supported by the Wattis Foundation, the Zellerbach Family Foundation, and individual supporters on Patreon
