This is a volunteer position. We are asking all tutors to dedicate at least one hour of tutoring once a week.
Tutoring sessions are held Monday (In-person at Hoover or virtual ), Wednesday (Virtual ONLY) or Thursday (
In-person at Bridges or virtual) from 3-7 PM. Breakthrough is offering a hybrid tutoring program which includes in-person tutoring or virtual.
Depending on your comfortability and availability, there is an opportunity to work with up to 3 Breakthrough students ranging from middle school to high school.
Background check and fingerprinting is required for individuals 18 years or older. More information regarding background check and fingerprinting will be available once we receive your application.
Pairing is based on subject knowledge/subject need and availability.
Next steps:Once the application has been submitted you will receive an email from BTSV with Orientation Material. A signed copy of the BTSV Tutor and Confidentiality Agreement form is necessary in order to move forward with the process. The agreement form will be provided in the Orientation Material.
