Volunteer in the MTC Community Garden!
The harvest is plentiful, but the workers have been few!   We invite you to grow in the MTC Community Garden as we relaunch our Hoe-Downs!  Hoe-Downs can occur throughout the week, but we are focusing efforts on Saturdays from 12:30PM to 3:30PM.  Our community garden is located behind our Administrative Office, located at 514 - 58th Street in North Oakland!  

Bring your gloves, shovels, sun hats and a friend with you!  Although we will be outside, masks are encouraged if that would make you feel more comfortable.  We promise you'll have a great time!  :-)  Contact grow@memorialtabernacle.org with questions and comments,.

The Memorial Tabernacle Church’s Community Garden is established as an outreach program to neighbors who wish to learn about composting and growing food at home. It's a learning lab for all home gardeners and a place to share experiences, knowledge and reap the benefits of growing crops. There will be periodic garden classes and community events as a result of the efforts of our garden volunteers.
Liability Waiver (Must respond Yes to volunteer.) *
All volunteers in the garden are expected to exercise caution and adhere to standard rules for their personal safety and that of others whilst working in the garden.  Volunteers work in the garden at their own risk, i.e, take full responsibility and waive any claims of personal injury, death or damage to personal property associated with the Memorial Tabernacle Church garden, included but not limited to using the facility and its equipment in any manner.
