K-3 Student Unsupervised Bus Drop Off
The Dieringer School District is always concerned with the safety of our students. To help our K-3 students get home safely, it is the Dieringer School District Transportation Department’s practice to drop off students in Kindergarten through 3rd grades at home ONLY when there is a parent/guardian or an older sibling at the bus drop off location to meet the student as they exit the bus. Students who are not met at the bus will be returned to the school and their parents will be contacted to pick them up at the school.
There is one exception to this practice.
• If the parent has filed this form with transportation and the K-3 student has been issued a “green tag” to hang on their backpack, informing the driver that the student has parent permission to exit the bus by themself, with no parent/guardian or older sibling present.
*This authorization will remain in effect until I cancel it in writing or my student has graduated from 3rd grade*
If you would like to participate in the preceding exception, please complete the information below.
PLEASE ALLOW 24 HOURS FOR GREEN TAGS TO BE DISTRIBUTED.
