Our Community - Needs, Jobs, Tools, gives elementary school students the building blocks for a successful career - right here at home. This teacher led program will show students how businesses shape our lives and strengthen society. Please note that this program is only available as a TEACHER LED option.

NEW! - In Our Country - Technology and Innovation, students develop innovative, new ideas for business and society. They learn about Canada’s technological past and present, as well as share ideas that could become our next great innovation. By the end of this program, students will have the confidence and ability to think creatively. Please note that this program is only available as a TEACHER LED option.

More than Money allows students to understand how money management improves their lives, and how their financial choices impact others. They'll gain confidence to apply this knowledge to their lives, enabling them to grow up making smart financial choices.

Our Business World gets students exploring how businesses are created and what factors help them thrive. They learn about business needs and functions, and innovation with a focus on the power of the entrepreneurial spirit in Canada.

A Business of Our Own (Grade 6) | Teacher-led Available
A Business of Our own teaches students basic business concepts such as management, finance, productions and marketing. Games and multimedia enable students to immerse themselves in the joys and challenges of running their own business.

Diversity in Action (Stronger Together) teaches students the value of diversity and how it improves morale, creativity, teamwork and productivity. Students understand how inclusivity can solve real world challenges while welcoming perspectives different from their own.

Dollars with Sense (Grade 8) | Volunteer-led Available
Dollars with Sense encourages students to develop the financial literacy necessary to make informed decisions about their financial future. Students learn about budgeting, money management and investments.

Economics for Success encourages students to reflect on the advantages of remaining in school by understanding the financial constraints of independence, the importance of career planning and goal setting.

Be Entrepreneurial (Grades 10-12) Teacher-led Only
JA’s Be Entrepreneurial program inspires students to imagine a business venture while still in school. Volunteers from the local business community partner with classroom teachers to ignite students’ entrepreneurial spirit and help them create business plans.

Personal Finance (Grades 10-12) Teacher-led Only
The program teaches students personal money management skills including the key elements of personal finance such as spending wisely, budgeting, saving, investing and using credit.

Success Skills equips students with the skills to come to their own understanding of making meaning for themselves. This program will help them develop skills for the workforce, as well as how to create a plan for the future, and learn communication skills.

RoboGarden (Grades 3-9) | Teacher-Led
RoboGarden: Learn to Code program will teach students different coding concepts, STEAM subjects and good morals through a game based environment that will help the students enjoy their education while learning to become the next coding genius. Please note that this program is only available as a TEACHER LED option. Time Commitment: 1 hour/week for 10 weeks

Investment Strategies Program (Grades 8-12) | Teacher-led Stock Market Simulation (Limited Spaces available) 
JA’s Investment Strategies program (ISP) teaches students how to save and invest for the future. The program includes both interactive classroom lessons and an online stock market simulation, Invest JA, where students manage their own simulated stock portfolio. The simulation is linked to live data from North American stock markets and is an exciting, risk-free way for students to apply the investing principles they learn in the program.
