Downriver Pride Pageant - Registrant Form
We are beyond excited to kick off a brand-new tradition with the very first Downriver Pride Pageant — a vibrant celebration of drag artistry, queer excellence, and unapologetic self-expression. This pageant isn’t just a competition; it’s a moment to honor the beauty, diversity, and power of our LGBTQIA+ community. As we crown our very first titleholders, we are laying the foundation for a legacy of inclusivity, talent, and pride right here in the Downriver area. Whether you're here to compete, support, or simply witness the magic, thank you for being part of this historic beginning. Let the glitter fly and the heels hit the stage — the legacy starts now!

I. Eligibility

  • Drag entertainers of all identities are welcome, including queens, kings, quings, mixes, monsters, and creatures. All contestants must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Contestants may choose to compete in the division where they feel most comfortable, regardless of assigned gender at birth.
  • Onstage and during the reign, contestants must present as a drag entertainer.
  • Division-specific presentation expectations:
    • Ms. Downriver Pride – Elite Division
      • Open to femme-presenting drag entertainers with 4 or more years of experience. This division celebrates seasoned performers who bring elevated artistry, confidence, and polish to the stage.
    • Ms. Downriver Pride – Amateur Division
      • Open to femme-presenting drag entertainers with 0 to 3 years of experience. This division is for rising stars looking to make their mark, gain experience, and grow in the world of pageantry.

II. Registration

Online Registration

  • Online registration is required, if you are having issues please contact us at info@downriverpride.com.
  • Once your form is submitted, you will be contacted with instructions to submit the registration fee if you haven't already.

General Rules

  • No late entries will be accepted unless pre-approved by Executive Team.
  • For exceptions or time-related concerns, please contact our Executive Team.

  • Registration fees are non-refundable, even in the case of withdrawal or disqualification.
  • The Executive Team reserves the right to refuse entry for any reason deemed necessary.
  • Registrants must arrive at 6pm for the amatuer show at 8pm and at 7:30pm for the elite show at 9:30pm
  • Registrants will have 1 hour and 30 Minutes in the dressing room.

III. Registration Fees

  • All fees must be paid in full at the time of registration - venmo @conzproductions .
    • Paying in full is the only way to guarantee your spot.
  • Entry Fee is $25 per contestant and is NON-REFUNDABLE!

IV. Creative Presentation

  • Contestants may provide custom music to accompany their creative presentation.
  • Music should enhance the overall concept of the contestant’s presentation.
  • All music types are accepted, but must not exceed six minutes.

V. Talent

  • Talent performances must not exceed six minutes.
  • Two minutes total will be allowed for setup and teardown.
    • If no setup is needed, no additional time will be provided.
  • Props and backup dancers are permitted in moderation.
  • Only handheld or free-standing props are allowed.

VI. Restrictions

  • Prohibited on stage at any time:
    • Fire
    • Water/liquids
    • Live animals
    • Glitter or confetti
  • If a mess is made, the contestant is responsible for cleaning it up or assigning someone to do so.
    • Failure to clear the stage will result in point deductions.
  • Tipping during the pageant is strictly prohibited.
    • Any contestant accepting a tip during competition will be disqualified and forfeit all registration fees.

VII. Etiquette

  • All contestants must report to the stage 15 Minutes before the pageant, late contestants may be disqualified.
    • The pageant will begin promptly at 8:00 PM for Amateurs and 9:30pm for Elites.
  • Contestants, dressers, and dancers must adhere to all guidelines in this packet and conduct themselves professionally.
  • Failure to maintain proper conduct may result in:
    • Removal from the premises
    • Disqualification from the competition
    • Forfeiture of registration fees

Examples of disorderly conduct include, but are not limited to:

  • Being overly intoxicated or under the influence of illegal substances/narcotics
  • Distributing illegal narcotics
  • Stealing
  • Sabotaging or tampering with another contestant's pageant package
  • Gross misconduct
  • Any gesture of disorderly behavior

Note: This pageant takes places outdoors during the Downriver Pride Festival, Please plan accordingly. Full Nudity is strictly prohibited.

VIII. Music

  • Music selections for Creative Presentation and Talent must be turned in to the the executive team once fully registered and paid at least one week before pageant day.
    • Contestants who register online may email music to: hello@downriverpride.com
      • (only after confirmation from the Executive Team that their spot is secured).
    • Music MAY NOT be brought via usb, if you need an extension on your music please email us or call us at (734) 888-8371.
  • Contestants who do not submit music will be fined points.

IX. Scoring

  • All judges' decisions are FINAL.
  • If a discrepancy in scoring is discovered, the true scores will be reevaluated to determine accurate placement.
  • In the event of a tie, the executive team will make the decision on who will take the crown based on talent portion of the event.
  • The contestant with the highest true overall score will be awarded the respective crown and prize package.

X. Contractual Duties

  • Both titleholders are required to attend the Downriver Pride Festival the following year to perform and sash the next titleholder.
  • Titleholders must perform two numbers at the following year's pageant during the opening ceremony.
  • Whether in or out of drag, each titleholder is expected to uphold Downriver Pride’s mission and represent its brand with integrity and professionalism.
  • Each titleholder must attend a minimum of two Downriver Pride events during their reign. These may include:
    • Fundraisers
    • Social gatherings
    • Networking opportunities
  • If a titleholder is unable to fulfill their duties, they may be asked to return the crown and sash, at the discretion of the executive team.
    • Reasonable accommodations will be made to transition responsibilities and benefits to the next named alternate.
  • If a titleholder violates the rules, guidelines, or contractual obligations, or if there is a misalignment between the titleholder and Downriver Pride, the titleholder must return the crown and sash to the executive team of Downriver Pride.
XIII. Prize Package

The Downriver Pride Pageant is not only a celebration of talent and identity — it's also an opportunity to be rewarded for your artistry, presence, and hard work.

🏆 First Place Winners (Amateur & Elite Divisions) will receive:

  • $150 cash prize
  • $25 gift card to Kekoa Brew Co.
  • Official Downriver Pride crown and sash
  • Featured performance opportunity at Downriver Pride 2026
  • Social media spotlight across Downriver Pride platforms

By participating in the Downriver Pride Pageant, all contestants, dressers, and performers grant Downriver Pride, Conz Productions LLC, and affiliated event organizers the unrestricted right to capture, record, and use photographs, video, and audio of the pageant and related activities for promotional, archival, and commercial purposes. This includes but is not limited to social media, websites, press releases, and future event marketing materials.

Participants acknowledge that no compensation will be provided for the use of such media, and all rights to said content remain with the event organizers. If a participant has a specific concern regarding media usage, it must be addressed in writing prior to the event by contacting the Entertainment Director.
