You've been invited to apply for 826 Valencia's Youth Leadership Advisory Board (YLAB) because we want you to be involved in 826 as a leader and a mentor to our younger students.
PLEASE NOTE: YLAB will have three different groups that will meet at three different locations during the week. Be sure you are clear on which location and time and choose the one that works best for you while filling out the application below.
This site is has limited space *Wednesdays 4:00-5:00pm: Tenderloin (180 Golden Gate Ave., SF)*
Thursdays 4:30-5:30pm: Mission (3543 18th St #8, SF)
Fridays 4:30-5:30pm Mission Bay (1310 4th St, SF)
YLAB is a special opportunity to develop your leadership skills, work on your writing, editing, public speaking and form a community with students from all of our programs. We'll talk about what 826 Valencia means to us and how to make it even better.

Signing up for YLAB means you are committing to attending every meeting and being fully engaged as a member of the group. This means:
- Attending meetings once a week at your chosen location listed above
- Tutoring in our programs one to two times a week at a tutoring center near you
- Participating in workshops or leadership opportunities during the school year (4 hrs. minimum, in the evenings or on weekends on a variety writing projects)
If you fulfill the above commitments, you are eligible to receive a total of $550 for the Spring Semester as a Youth Leadership Advisory Board member.
