After decades of government inaction put them in the direct path of a slow-moving climate disaster, the indigenous village of Newtok, Alaska, may still be able to keep their community intact, but their future hinges on the political will of those in power and finding the money to build a new village.

In celebration of Sea Day (海の日), we are hosting a face-to-face film screening and casual discussion through ROCO Films community (https://rocofilms.com/) on 14 July 2022, Thursday, from 16:15 to 18:15 Japan time. Venue will be at the Creative Commons Room, Ishikawadai 6 Bldg. Fourth Floor Rm 404. The event will be limited to 40 participants.
