About the District 1 Advisory Council:
As a new school year begins, I am seeking school district nominations for parents, CCPS teachers, principals and staff, students and community members to serve on my 2021-2022 District 1 Advisory Council.  Applications will be due September 17, 2021 and the council members will be announced on September 24, 2021.

The District 1 Advisory Council will meet monthly each school year with a focus on topics that matter to our constituents.  Members will serve as advisors and will provide input on budget, policy, student achievement, school effectiveness, family and community engagement and so much more. Each member selected will serve a one-year term on the District 1 Advisory Council.  Interested persons must meet the following eligibility criteria:

 1)Must reside in District 1 or work in a District 1 school.

 2)Commit to attend all meetings held throughout the length of the  one-year term.
 

The District 1 Advisory meetings this school year are scheduled tentatively for October through April, subject to change.
