Interns should inform Justin or Kenzie of any scheduling conflicts during the internship dates with the understanding that being present is important. Interns are allowed to miss up to 2 weeks of the summer internship. Interns will be notified well in advance if an event or activity is planned on a day or time other than the times listed above.

THE GOALS OF THE INTERNSHIP:
• GROW in your relationship with God and others
• TRAIN in ministry and life skills
• EQUIP you to make disciples

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING AS AN INTERN:
*Participating in training seminars (Old Testament, New Testament, Emotional Health, Self-Leadership, Financial Management, Healthy Dating, etc.)
*Spend focused time being attentive to the Lord
*Discovering and developing your spiritual gifts and participating in service outreach opportunities
*And MUCH MORE! :-)

HOUSING:
If you are from out of town or need a place to live over the summer, we are willing to try and find a family that would take you in over the summer. No promises, of course, but we will certainly try to make that a possibility. Talk to Justin Amos with questions about housing.

The internship does NOT cost money. You are also NOT paid by Wellspring to participate. If money is an issue for you, you have the option of raising your own financial support from friends and family. Talk to Justin Amos with questions about personal fundraising.

You will find information below if you are interested in the additional Mission Track or Media portion of the internship.

The internship is a time for you to be discipled while learning how to disciple others. We look forward to hearing from you. Please contact Justin Amos @ 816.261.9341 or Kenzie Thom @ 816.671.0535 with any additional questions.

CODE OF CONDUCT

To ensure a reputable, sustainable, and healthy ministry example, all Wellspring interns (summer and year-long) will be held to a high standard. The following guidelines are a list of the expectations that we have of interns that represent Wellspring Community Church. Please know that children, teenagers, and parents are watching you. They are examining the way you live both in person and through your social media presence. We want to ensure our interns are setting an example to them that is worth following. For that reason, we ask you to follow these guidelines:

1. No questionable social media posts of any kind (questionable posts would include photos of you drinking alcohol or smoking, photos of you showing off your body that is clearly a grab for attention, political posts that cause controversy or division, discriminatory posts of any kind, etc.)

2. Follow biblical guidelines if you choose to drink alcohol (e.g., no drinking unless over 21, no drinking in the presence of minors, getting drunk is sinful and unacceptable, social drinking is strongly discouraged as people do not know if you’ve had one drink or ten drinks, no photos on social media around alcohol, etc.) If you’re trying to find a workaround to some of the examples listed above, you’re probably crossing a line. Essentially, ask yourself, “is what I’m about to do going to help others grow in Christ?” If the answer is no, then don’t do it.

3. No drug use of any kind unless prescribed by your doctor

Failure to follow any of the above guidelines could result in being removed as an intern.
Do you agree to follow and adhere to the code of conduct guidelines listed above?
