Highlands Elementary UIL Try-out Interest Form 2022-2023
Each year students across the district compete with students from other GCCISD elementary schools in the Goose Creek CISD Elementary UIL Tournament. The competition consists of 21 UIL events for 2nd-5th grade students.  

Teams consist of two students and practices once or twice per week, depending on the team.  Our competition and awards ceremony will be held at Goose Creek Memorial High School, January 27, 2023.  All UIL teams will have a pizza party and then ride a bus to Goose Creek Memorial High School.  A few preliminary events will be held at Highlands Elementary on January 18, 2023. Students who are chosen for a UIL team will be given a team shirt.  

Team members will be expected to attend all practices and work on their materials outside of practice. Practice dates and times are at the discretion of the coach.

Want to try out? Students and parents need to fill out and submit this Google Form by Friday, October 7.  After you respond, you will be notified of your tryout date and time. Filling out this Google Form is giving parent approval/ signature for your student to participate.

Parents must pick up their child NO LATER than 4:30 on the day of his/her try out. Students who are not picked up on time may not be considered for the team. Late submissions may not be able to try out.
