Spring 2024 Ambassador Application

Welcome!

The International Student Office is looking for friendly and motivated SBCC students to be part of a group that serves our diverse community on campus. 

HOW DOES THE STUDENT AMBASSADOR PROGRAM WORK? 
Students attend training sessions to develop cultural awarenesscultivate peer support strategies, and learn about student event planningmarketing, and public speaking, in addition to weekly meetings

ARE YOU ELIGIBLE TO APPLY? APPLICANTS MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:

  • Must communicate effectively, and work as part of a team
  • Must be aware of or interested in learning about issues faced by new international students
  • If applicants are admitted, they must commit to at least one full semester with the Ambassador Program

WHAT ARE THE TIME COMMITMENTS FOR BEING AN AMBASSADOR?

  • Ambassadors meet every Friday from 1:00 – 2:00 PM
  • Ambassadors assist at New Student Orientations prior to the start of the semester
  • Ambassadors participate in regular events sponsored by the International Office.
