Thank you for your interest in taking on the Public Humanities Newsletter. The National Humanities Alliance
The newsletter currently has a base of over 1,500 subscribers from across the U.S. and in 36 countries around the world. Taking on the newsletter would entail:
- Sourcing content. This can take between 5–10 hours per month to actively seek out jobs, publications, calls for proposals, and events related to the public humanities.
- Formatting and editing the newsletter. This can take up to 5 hours per month to determine that suggested content is appropriate for the newsletter, write the text for each piece of content, check that the links work, and so on.
- Publication and promotion. Once the newsletter material has been placed into the back end of Substack, the publication date can be scheduled in advance. If you choose, you might also want to share the newsletter on social media to prompt engagement. This would take approximately 1–2 hours per month.
