Nancy Boles Memorial Student Scholarship Application
This scholarship was founded by the Executive  Board of the OFLTA in 2005 in honor of Nancy Boles. Nancy Boles, 22, an OFLTA student member and a senior at Oklahoma State University majoring in French education, passed away unexpectedly in March, 2004. At the time of her death she was beginning her student teaching internship in the French kindergarten at Eisenhower International School in Tulsa, and had just completed her internship at Union Intermediate High School. Oklahoma State University posthumously awarded the Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education - French at the May commencement ceremony.  Nancy had been an active member of OFLTA for two years, and was also a member of the Student Oklahoma Education Association and many academic honorary societies. She had devoted her life to the teaching of French, and was a budding young professional.  This scholarship was established in her name to help other college students attend OFLTA’s professional development opportunities.
