This form is to confirm that your College/University is planning to take part in the College Scholarship Competition at the Michigan Thespian Festival. I only need one person from your school to complete the form.
The person on this form will be contacted in early November and be asked to complete a more detailed form with the names and emails of anyone from your school that will be will be watching audition callbacks. We don't need that information at this time.
We will once again have students auditioning in either ACTING, MUSICAL THEATE, TECH/DESIGN or STAGE MANAGEMENT. The students competing will submit audition videos, students stats, contact information and interests. Again we will be using the
getacceptd.com platform to supply that in advance of Festival.
Schools will be able to indicate on
getacceptd.com any students that they are interested in calling back to see perform at the live 'Callbacks' at Festival. From there, schools will then choose any students that they would like to meet with in person on the final day of Festival for 'Interviews'. 'Interviews' will occur at your Sponsored tables.
We still expect that you will make your offers (as in past years) after completing the final 'Interview'. The number of scholarships and the amount of scholarships you offer is up to you, but you must give at least (1) $1000 offer to participate. New attendees will have the option to watch auditions in the first year or make offers. Michigan is currently the largest scholarship competition in the country with over $20,000,000 in offers given out last year alone.
