Personalized Strengths-Based Leadership Program (High School and College Students)
As parents, we want our children to succeed.  We hire tutors, pay for private lessons, help them study, and provide them with love and encouragement.

Even so, many students feel very uncertain- which classes should I take, which college is right for me, which major should I choose, and even more uncertain about potential future careers.

While parents are well intentioned and want the best for our kids, we often don’t understand why one student has no difficulty studying for tests while their other child does.  Or while one student is laser focused and another is aimless.  As a parent, what can we do to help lead and guide our students path in a positive, non-judgemental way?

By allowing our students the opportunity to learn what they’re great at and to help them embrace those talents!  In high school, everyone wants to be the same, but it’s that rush to conform that keeps us from success: From being the best versions of ourselves, being who God intended us to be.  For many, we have been taught to fix our weaknesses, but only in embracing our Strengths can we truly live a life of Excellence!

What if you could give your high school student the gift of understanding their own unique talents and how they can use those strengths to be a better leader or student, select a college, career, and even friends, or a mate?

You can!

You get a diet from a doctor or an exercise plan from a trainer- Teen Leadership Project can work with you to create a Personalized Plan built upon a foundation of your unique Strengths, to help you in Academics, Studying, and Class Selection, as well as Relationships and Extra-curricular activities.

Study Techniques- Should you converse with someone about subject matter until you understand it, concentrate on your breathing before a test, make a habit of studying at the same time each day, study alone or with study groups, etc.
Relationships- Should I choose friends with similar interests, always have a mentor, coach/encourage my friends, use talents when conflicts arise, etc.
Class Selection- from choosing the right types of teachers/professors, to arranging classes to allow you time for studying, or choosing classes with clear expectations, choosing classes where group work or individual work is encouraged, etc.
Extracurricular Activities- how do you use your talents to help others, be a tutor or mentor, look for purely social activities or ones with purpose, join a club or act as a historian, try a book club, etc.

Each of us is unique, our strengths are unique, and thus the ways we choose how to study or which classes to take MATTER.  But how many of us have been intentional in knowing these nuances about ourselves?  These are concrete items we can identify, plan, and incorporate in our lives to help us excel.
