Pollination Revit Questionnaire
We've come across some common modeling errors in Revit that we'd love to get your feedback on. We are illustrating a couple of modeling cases in this form and would like to know how you would expect Pollination to resolve these modeling errors.

Room Volumes
Our Revit plugin relies on the room creation feature of Revit to generate an analytical model. So it's very important that room volumes are accurately represented prior to exporting an analytical model. We also generate room geometry from the center of a wall, roof, or floor assembly. We've seen cases where the room extends outside the model, stops at a ceiling, or in buildings with plenum spaces the rooms create skinny projections at ceiling openings in the room. How would you expect Pollination to deal with this?

Highly Detailed Families
When a Revit model has a highly detailed family modeled, it can take a very long time to export using Pollination. In the image below, the door family contains the level of detail appropriate for construction documentation, but not for simulation. When we tried to export this model, this single door family produced an analytical surface made of 1,076,246 points (yes a million points). This level is not required for a simulation since we only need 4 points for a door! How would you expect Pollination to deal with this?
