Letter From the Director of Athletics
August 11, 2021

Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),

I am excited to start the 2021-2022 school and athletics year.  Immanuel athletics holds a longstanding tradition of sportsmanship and success.  With each new year we're given the opportunity to continue this proud tradition.  I feel truly honored to come alongside you and your student-athlete as you work with coaches and teammates in developing skills, abilities, and memories that will last a lifetime.

REMINDER- The Athletics Department will require that all athletics packets be submitted before any student-athlete is able to try out, practice or participate in an athletics activity.   We encourage all incoming freshman to have an athletics packet completed so they are ready to compete if their interest in athletics changes during the year.

NO STUDENT WILL BE ALLOWED TO TRY OUT, PRACTICE OR PARTICIPATE IN AN ATHLETICS ACTIVITY WITHOUT A COMPLETED ATHLETICS PACKET ON FILE

If you should have any questions please do not hesitate to call.

The Central Sequoia League would like to welcome parents and students athletes to the 2021-2022 athletic season.

As a member of the California Interscholastic Federation, ‘Pursuing Victory with Honor’ has become more than a motto.  Responsibility, respect and good sportsmanship are lifetime values, reinforced by athletics and your support is invaluable.

The spirit of competition thrives, fueled by honest rivalry, courteous relations, and graceful acceptance of the results. Realize that athletics are a part of the educational experience and the benefits of involvement go beyond the final score of the game.

Our students are encouraged to perform their best; to learn, understand, and respect the rules of the game; and to respect the officials who administer the games and their decisions.
Parents must respect the task our coaches face as teachers and support them as they strive to educate our youth.  At all athletic events, urge our teams on with positive cheers. Discourage cheers that focus on the negative including those which taunt and intimidate opponents, their fans, and the officials. Those who engage in such unsportsmanlike behavior will be reprimanded.

The message should be sent through our community that interscholastic athletics is a learning experience with a lifetime impact.  Our goal is to have a positive effect, and this message must be communicated if we are to continue to have success in this area, by respecting all our student athletes and by treating them all with courtesy.
We look forward to serving you in the year ahead, and appreciate your continued support.

Sincerely,
CSL Principals and Athletic Directors
