2024-25 Secondary Teaching for Mastery Sustaining Work Group Enrolment Form
Once you have submitted the form, please email admin@emsmathshub.org.uk and copy in the Headteacher/member of SLT as confirmation of the schools commitment

What does the opportunity involve?

A Sustaining Work Group consists of a number of other schools who have also previously participated in the Secondary Teaching for Mastery Work Groups or who have a member of their department who is part of the Mastery Specialist Programme. Participating teachers (ideally those who participated previously) and key teachers from a Mastery Specialist’s department will meet regularly throughout the year in the form of 6 half day sessions. The content of departments’ development plans will be the stimulus for how joint work will be devised and undertaken. Focus will be on the department’s planned developments, as well as sharing and critiquing them with a group of schools in a professional learning community.

There is no fee or charge for participating schools to take part in the Sustaining Work Group. The Maths Hub meets the cost of running the Work Group. The Work Group will run for a year, with the expectation of your school continuing to collaborate with other secondary schools in 2025/26 and beyond.

Further support can also be provided to your school through participation in other Maths Hubs professional development projects. This will allow your maths department to make continued and sustainable improvements which impact positively on your maths teaching and learning. If you have any further questions about future expectations, please contact us at admin@emsmathshub.org.uk.
