As a part of the National Gay Flag Football League (NGFFL), the MNGFFL sends players to compete against 22+ other cities in national tournaments across the country. The next tournament, Pride Bowl, takes place June 23-26 in Chicago, IL. The team will practice twice a week, be expected to cover the financial costs associated with travel, lodging, and registration, and live out the MNGFFL’s player code of conduct as ambassadors of the league in national tournaments.

New this year on the player interest form is a question about Gay Bowl, which takes place October 6-9 in Honolulu, HI. Because of the costs and time commitments associated with traveling and competing in Hawaii this fall, all Lumberjock players that compete in Pride Bowl will have the right of first refusal for a roster spot on the Gay Bowl Lumberjocks team. Depending on the number of players on the Pride Bowl tournament team who elect to also compete in Hawaii, spots may or may not open to join the team later this summer to just compete in Hawaii at Gay Bowl.
