Hello & Welcome to the 2024 Iowa Juneteenth Observance Neighbor's Day Celebration. This form is for all of the vendor registrations including food trucks. Please read this form thoroughly. Fees:
All regular vendors & non-profit organizations - $155
All food vendors (including tent and food trucks) - $255
All final payments and valid certificate of insurance are due by Friday, May 3, 2024
You must provide a VALID Certificate of Insurance in order to be a vendor. You will be required to send your certificate at time of approval and final payment to complete your registration.

Set Up Time: 9am - 11am
Event Time: 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Tear Down: 7:00pm - 8:00pm
Event Location: Western Gateway Park, 1000 Grand Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa
Additional Information:
Juneteenth Committee and the Neighbor’s Day event will follow the guidelines of Polk County Health Department and CDC guidelines.
(1) 10x10 tent, (1) 8ft table, and (1) chair will be provided. (Tents are limited and will be given on a first approved basis). All others will be required to have their own tent but the fee does not change.
Placement for vendors is at the discretion of the Juneteenth Committee based on space availability and limitations. Once a space has been designated, vendor cannot move without permission of the Juneteenth Committee.
Sharing, trading or selling a contracted space is strictly forbidden.
It is the responsibility of each contracted vendor to clean up around the contracted space and area on a continual basis throughout the duration of the event. All trash and debris must be placed in the proper receptacles provided throughout the grounds.
All vendors are responsible for their own electricity except food trucks. (Please see details below).
Vendors are allowed to arrive as early as 9am and must be set up no later than 11am.
Upon arrival vendors can drive there vehicle in to drop off materials and then remove your vehicle as soon as you are done. THERE WILL BE NO CARS ALLOWED ON 13th, 12th, or LOCUST STREET AFTER 10:30am!
All vendors must stay up and running until 7pm. No vehicles will be allowed into the park until 7:30pm. (A diagram will be provided for entry and exit points at a later date).
The Juneteenth Committee will not be responsible for any equipment left on the grounds, or for lost, damaged items, equipment, nor any accidents or injuries to you, your staff or your property.
A generator will be provided for food vendors only!! No loud generators will be allowed at your booth.
Food Vendors must go through the Iowa Department of Inspection and Appeals for all food licensing requirements. Here is their website:
https://dia.iowa.gov/food-consumer-safety/iowa-online-licensing-user-guides The food inspector does come out to our event and will shut you down if you don’t have your required license. We do not have any say if at any time you do not have your paperwork and are required to shut down.
If you are registered as a Non-Food Vendor, the sale of any type of food is strictly prohibited (no samples).
If you are registered as a Food Vendor, prices for all food items for sale must be posted in plain view for customers to see and order.
