Student-Writtens Jury Application
Each year, a jury of students is selected by Mr. Bechtold to read all student-written scripts and select a slate of 10 and 1-minute plays to perform.  Jury members must commit to giving generous readings of all scripts (usually between 40-60 scripts total) and make time to meet to discuss them at length with the rest of the jury.

In composing the jury, the goal is to get a wide mix of theatrical and personal backgrounds represented.  Desirable juror qualities include an interest (regardless of experience) in reading and seeing plays, an artistic imagination about how work could best be staged, an interest in discussing what stories we tell (and don't tell) on stage, and a demonstrated desire to make Student-Writtens an exciting and inclusive event for writers, directors, performers and our audiences.

*The mandatory meeting for all jurors will be Sunday, March 27 from 2-6pm.  Please keep your calendar free for that date.*
