Please list and describe at least two ideas/projects you would like to work on as a part of the photo section. *
Any and all ideas are welcome! We'd like to get a sense of what projects you might be interested in working on. You can look at what we've been working on here: https://www.dailyprincetonian.com/section/visual-essays
Please describe a photo project/essay you would potentially pitch to the team, work on, and manage during your time as a photographer with us. *
Typically, members of the photo team will document seasonal events or spaces around campus in order to show our audience your own perspective of the world around us. No idea is too little, everyone from senior photographers to newbies have been able to run their projects with support from the team, we just want to see where you'll take us with your creativity.
Some of our previous projects include:
Please provide a link to a photo essay that you find particularly interesting and/or well-made, and describe what draws you towards it. *
What campus communities do you feel are inadequately covered by the ‘Prince’?
What specific community voices or campus populations do you hope to elevate through your work?
*
Do you have any photography experience? Let us know! Whether it's been photographing for your school yearbook, as a hobby, a side hustle, or for a news outlet, please provide a brief description. Feel free to link to any work that you have done!
Note that absolutely NO experience is required to join! This question has no bearing on your application. We would just like to get a general sense of your experience (if applicable) so that we can tailor training accordingly :)
Do you have any photography equipment?
If you do not have any equipment, do not worry! We will provide equipment.
If you do, please specify what kind of camera/lenses in the 'other' response section!
Any questions, comments, or concerns?
