Participant Track Selection
The 2024 Nisbet Venture Fund Competition invites both ventures that are in the idea-stage (the Incubation Track) as well as ventures that have had more time to develop (the Acceleration Track). Below are general guidelines on how an applicant should categorize their venture for this application. Please note that if eligible, you may request to be considered for both tracks or just one of the tracks. All applications are reviewed by committee.

The Incubation Track
+Newly formed idea at time of application
+$0-$5,000 in revenue or venture capital has been raised at time of application
+Venture does not need to be registered as a business to receive prize
+Eligible to pitch for the $5,000 prize (non-equity)
+Eligible for paired mentoring
+Eligible to attend all Nisbet Venture Fund workshops
+Eligible for the Audience Choice $2,500 prize (non-equity)
+Must be a Davidson College student or recent Davidson alumni ('18-'23)

The Acceleration Track
+Venture has been in development with some proven traction prior to application
+No more than $250,000 in revenue or venture capital has been raised at time of application
+Venture must be formed legal entity in order to receive grand prize (registered as a business)
+Eligible to pitch for the top $25,000 equity prize
+Eligible for paired mentoring
+Eligible to attend all Nisbet Venture Fund workshops
+Eligible for the Audience Choice $2,500 prize (non-equity)
+Must be a Davidson College student or recent Davidson alumni ('18-'23)
