Lowell Plan Public Matters: A Program in Civic Engagement - 2022 Application for Admission
Public Matters: A Program in Civic Engagement is a leadership initiative of The Lowell Plan conducted in partnership with the Lowell National Historical Park. The mission of Public Matters is to foster and enhance the knowledge and skills of leaders in Lowell, MA. Please complete the application below.  We'll also invite you to join us for a brief interview in November to get to know you better and give you more information about the program.  Decisions will be made on the composition of the PM ’22 cohort in early December.  

Classes are held two Wednesday evenings a month from 4:00 – 7:00 pm beginning in mid-January through mid-June.  In addition we schedule three Saturday morning classes during the program.  The schedule is prepared well in advance to help participants plan.  

Please note, the 2022 program will be conducted in person to the extend possible following COVID-19 guidelines from the CDC and the City of Lowell Health Department.  

The fee to participate in Public Matters is $1,000 due upon acceptance to the program.
