The 2022 Master Mariner competition will be held on Sunday 13th March at 1st Port (Ringsend) Sea Scout Den, proudly supported by the Institute of Master Mariners.
The Master Mariner competition is the pinnacle of individual seamanship challenge.
Entries are open for Venture & Rover Scouts and will close on Wednesday 9th March.
€15.00 per competitor.

Tidal Heights
- Using tide tables be able to calculate tidal height with a tidal curve.
- Calculate and apply Daylight Savings Time as required.
- Be able to identify clearance depths for presented activity scenarios.
- understand the difference between Standard & Secondary Ports.
Ventures are expected to do their own research on the above for a brief discussion with the examiner to showcase what they have learned and complete some exercises.
