Women's Discernment Weekend

A discernment weekend in Quebec at the monastery of Abbey of Sainte-Marie des Deux-Montagnes on May 24-26, 2024.

The purpose of the weekend will be to expose young women to an experience of contemplative life and to take some time away with God to discern His will. We will join the sisters for the sung hours of prayer (in Gregorian chant). We will have some teachings on contemplative prayer, silence and discerning God's will. There will be daily mass and confession available, with the possibility of spiritual direction.

There is limited space available (everyone will receive their own private room), so we will take registrations at a first-come first served basis. The cost is $150 for the weekend. We will coordinate rides together. We will drive down the Friday morning and return the Sunday night. We hope to make a stop in Ottawa to visit the Queenship of Mary sisters on route Friday.
