2024 USTA Mississippi Southern Closed Coaching Application
Please fill out all information below to be considered as an official Coach for USTA Mississippi at one of the Southern Closed Tournaments. The 2024 Southern Closed Information is below:

June 6-12 - Closed L3
18s - Mobile, AL
16s - Little Rock, AR
14s - Macon, GA
12s - Cary, NC *June 7-12 for 12s.

Application deadline is Sunday, May 5th.

Coaches for the Southern Closed will be selected by the MS Junior Competition Committee by May 9th.

All coaches must have a current USPTA or PTR certification, and be current on all Safe Play Background Checks.

Coaches are expected to organize their travel to the site they are selected, and organize all Team Mississippi warm-ups and team activities during the tournament. Coaches are expected to arrive the day before the tournament starts. There will be a stipend for coaches to travel to the site, amount determined by the location of the tournament.

For 2024, the USTA Mississippi Junior Tennis Council has approved updating the number of coaches we send to these tournaments. In the past, we have sent 1 coach to the 12s, and 2 coaches to each site for the 14s, 16s, and 18s. This year we will be sending one coach to each site, to organize warm ups for our MS players and be an on site point of contact.
