You Can Help us to Save the Portway Annexe.
We need your help!
The Portway Annexe, formerly occupied by Somerset Skills & Learning for adult education, is being put up for sale by Somerset County Council and we need your help in saving it from developers, so it can continue to be used by and for the community of Wells.
We need to be able to prove that the building is an asset of value to our community in order to make an application to retain it; and therefore we need to hear from anyone who has used the building in the past as a student, or attended workshops, meetings and courses there and who would like to see it remain in our community's hands.
A group of local community organisations are working with Wells City Council to safeguard the building for community use. These organisations are:
- The Connect Centre
- The Lawrence Centre
- Wells Foodbank
- The Civic Society
- Wells Community Network
- Mendip Credit Union
- Project Factory CIC and
- SODA
But this is still not enough.
So, we whole-heartedly welcome you to the questionnaire and thank you for your help, which will make all the difference to our cause.
It will take around 5 minutes to complete, depending on the answers you provide us with and please note that all of your answers are completely confidential. Your views will be reported mixed-in with the responses of others and, of course, your rights under the Data Protection Act as well as the Market Research Society's Code of Conduct will be fully observed.
