Lincoln Conservation Volunteer Program Application
The Town of Lincoln, Massachusetts has 80+ miles of trails across over 5 square miles of conservation land. The Department and Lincoln Land Conservation Trust staff spend a great deal of effort on sound stewardship of the land. Staff are seeking assistance from volunteers to perform trail upkeep and education/outreach.

Adopt-A-Trail Volunteer duties may include:
Reporting on overall trail condition, hazards, wildlife issues, signage issues, and fallen trees
Picking up litter
Removing brush and fallen twigs from the trail surface, and removing overhanging branches or brush that blocks the trail

Volunteer Ranger duties may include:
• Educating Flints Pond visitors about the importance of staying away from the Flints Pond edge – no fishing, swimming, wading, or boating allowed.
• Educating visitors at Flints Pond, Mt. Misery and other areas about the importance of being in control of their pets and removing dog waste from the property.
• Rewarding good behavior of dog owners on the trails

We expect all volunteers to report basic information on visitor interaction and observed trail uses on a Google or paper spreadsheet once a month. At least one trail sweep required each month.
