Marching Warriors Participation Contract
The Marching Warriors is a family atmosphere where all participants respect and value each other.  Our positive atmosphere is a direct result of everyone following clear expectations.  This contract outlines the expectations for students during all rehearsals and performances as well as what support we need from parents.  It will serve as the permission slip for the entire marching season, including transportation for all away events. Student participants and their parents/guardians should read these expectations and indicate their intent to support them by signing where indicated

As a student I agree to:

1. Realize that this is a school function and that all school policies outlined in the Student Handbook are in effect anytime the Marching Warriors are together..

2. Refrain from the possession or use of tobacco, vaping products, illegal drugs, or alcohol.

3. Recognize the rights and comfort of others with respect to noise, language, social media commentary, and personal conduct.

4. Follow the expectations of the directors, staff, and chaperones.

Parent/Guardian Agreement
1. This contract gives my permission for my son/daughter to attend all marching band events.

2. The school and its employees and chaperones are not liable for any accidents that may occur during marching band activities and trips.

3. I must complete the provided medical consent form. (Section 2 of this online form)

4. Attendance - All rehearsals and performances are mandatory and have been noted in our calendar.  Appointments should be made on Wednesdays to avoid conflicts (Tuesdays for guard members).  Any excused absence we wish to request must be sent to Mr. Dandeles via email by May 30, 2022.  No absence is considered excused unless confirmed via email by Mr. Dandeles (chris_dandeles@ipsd.org).  Any unexcused absence may result in removal from the next performance.  Multiple absences may result in removal from the Marching Warriors.

5. Fees - Marching band fees are $350.00.  A non-refundable $150.00 Marching Warriors payment through PushCoin by June 1, 2022. The remaining $200.00 is the school activity fee & will be due at Readiness Days via the district’s Pushcoin system. Completion of this form indicates acceptance of these financial obligations.  Families with a Fee Waiver or financial challenges should email mark_duker@ipsd.org to discuss payment options.
