MWC Town Hall Session Questions & Topics

On January 17th at 1:00PM MWC will be holding an industry discussion that is intended to bring Michigan wine industry stakeholders together to educate, debate, and plant the seeds of compromise on funding the Michigan wine industry interests of Research, Education, and Marketing in 2024 and beyond. We will be discussing recent legislation that has been introduced in the Michigan House of Representatives, educating on processes of Public Act 232,  and soliciting other ideas on how to fund the initiatives. Led by a moderator, there will be a panel of industry professionals discussing each unique perspective and experience as related to each of the topics. Panelist will include:

  • Nate Love from Kelley Cawthorne on behalf of the Michigan Wine Producer’s Association
  • Chad Reenders (via zoom) from the Michigan Blueberry Advisory Committee
  • Diane Smith from the Michigan Apple Committee
  • Michael Kaiser (via zoom) of Wine America

Please keep in mind we have a limited time frame of one hour to get to a wide variety of topics, concerns, and questions.
