We are starting a practice program that is specifically designed to work with young goalies in the area programs. During these practices, we will be clearly defining our role as a goaltender and working on foundational skills of goaltending.

Skating skills and techniques
Puck Tracking
Angles
Basic saves and save selection
Stickwork
Depending on the makeup of our groups, we may also focus on some more advanced skills and concepts of goaltending.

Advanced skating theory
Rebound control theory
Desperation saves
Playing the puck
Advanced mental models
Mental best practices and preparation
