Join other Southeast (Cleveland Cluster) parents and guardians for community, connection, and learning as we read and discuss together the book “Stamped: Racism, Antiracism and You” by Jason Reynolds and Ibram X. Kendi. Planned by members of Hosford’s newly formed equity group, the book club will meet three times online over Zoom on Thursdays 1/14, 1/28 and 2/11 from 7 - 8:30 pm, talking about a different section of the book each time.

We hope that parents will be able to join us for all three sessions. We will have small break-out discussion groups of 5-10 parents/guardians for the and meet with the same small groups each time, in addition to some time with the large group.

Parents will need their students' PPS login. Once they have logged in, search for Stamped, and then click on "Borrow" next to the E-book. Once it's borrowed, it can be read from the browser.

Students/parents can also download the SORA app from an app store, choose PPS as their district/school, log in with PPS credentials, and access the book this way. The Hosford library has a SORA tutorial linked off this google doc (https://docs.google.com/document/d/16WwfnjXv6oz_BuSZ33jDFQAbYvHZasin_a7l96TtkX8/edit?usp=sharing). However, due to access restrictions, it is only accessible to PPS users (like students). Thanks to Hosford library assistant Kate Fleming for these instructions to use SOAR!!
