The Black and Loved book club centers books by Black authors and those across the African diaspora. It was created with the goal of highlighting these authors,and offering a safe space to really dive into and discuss these books and the topics that they tackle. There is so much that has been written and is currently being written, so each months selection will vary in genre. We're looking forward to hearing what made you laugh, cry, and throw your book across the room- while most importantly, gaining an appreciation for the expansive group of Black authors that are out there.

The Black and Loved Book Club will be hosted by Jonathan Pope, Children's Bookseller at Prologue Bookshop (and occasional BookTuber). His channel, To Be Black and Loved, focuses on reviewing and recommending books by Black and queer authors.

Meetups will occur monthly, and we're keeping the group size to about 20-22 members.
