Thank you for your interest in the Trauma Informed Specialist Certification Program (TIS)! This program is designed to address the needs of educators and administrators by providing tools for supporting students who experience trauma and practicing self care in order to promote resiliency. By completing this certification you will be able to coach others to build Trauma Informed Schools using available resources.
The TIS program is designed by The Center for Cognitive Diversity and consists of 4 graduate level courses delivered over the course of 10 months with Continuing Education Semester Units available through CSUEB.
Our next cohort will run in 2023. Here is an overview of the courses.
1. Principles of Trauma for Educators (3 units) - 2 hour online session/ one Saturday a month/ 5 months
2. Reflective Supervision for Educators (1.5 units) - 2 hour online session/ one day a month/ 5 months
3. Trauma Supportive Schools (3 units) - 2 hour online session/ one Saturday a month/ 5 months
4. Advanced Reflective Supervision (1.5 units) - 2 hour online session/ one day a month/ 5 months
