Girls Rock! Melbourne Returning Volunteer Application
Thank you for your interest in volunteering for Girls Rock! Melbourne's 2019 September Camp! We appreciate you taking the time to fill this out.

You must be 18+ to volunteer.

Both the camp and volunteer orientation will be held at Wick Studios, 23-25 Leslie St, Brunswick, VIC 3056

Camp week: September 23rd - 27th, 2019, 9:30am - 4:30pm
Showcase: Sunday, September 29th, 2019, early afternoon time TBC, Location: Northcote Social Club

Mandatory Volunteer Orientation: Sunday, September 22, 2019 at 3pm

All volunteers (returning and new) are required to attend a mandatory Volunteer Orientation on the Sunday afternoon before camp week. The Monday-Friday portion of the week runs from 9:30AM - 4:30PM. The showcase takes place on Sunday afternoon at Northcote Social Club, and runs approximately two and a half to three hours.

All volunteer positions are unpaid. Volunteers are not required to commit to a full day. If you have limited availability during the week there will be space later in the application to explain and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

All new volunteers will be interviewed and a valid Working With Children Check is required for all volunteers. Please sign up for a free Volunteer WWC immediately if you have not already: https://online.justice.vic.gov.au/wwccu/onlineapplication.doj

Space for volunteers is limited, please apply early for best consideration.

We experience a high volume of emails and applications during this time.  We appreciate your patience and will get back to you as soon as possible to arrange a phone interview.

YOU ROCK!

A special note to male-identified volunteers: Girls Rock! Melbourne is primarily led by and for female, trans, and non-binary folks. We also value diversity, inclusion, and sensitivity toward all individuals, regardless of gender identity or expression. The organisation welcomes the support of male-identified allies in NON-MENTORSHIP roles and expects male-identified allies who would like to volunteer to respect the importance of leadership by women, trans, and non-binary people.
