2021 ECPS Elections

ECPS has three open positions on our leadership team. We're hoping to fill the positions with talented and passionate individuals who want to see more initiatives to help lower the barriers to early career plant scientists.

Below are the descriptions of the positions open and are only open to ECPS members.

Vice Chair (3-5 h/week)
Responsible for understanding sectional membership concerns and ensuring membership has a direct connection to the Core Team. Additionally serves as event coordinator for the section, and backup to the Chair.

Head of Internal Communications (1-1.5 h/week)
Responsible for organizing all internal communications and meetings, synthesizing one sheets written by the ECPS Council so that the Core Team can efficiently and effectively relay updates and agenda items to the sectional membership and the ASPB governance.

Head of Science Communication (1-1.5 h/week)
Responsible for content generation and organization. This individual will work with ASPB ambassadors, Conviron Scholars, and volunteers in the community to push new content initiatives and meet deadlines for consistent dissemination of ECPS content.
