- Community Slide, Inc. are the operators of the Barrows chairlift and the Steamboat Howler Alpine Slide. This form pertains to activities managed by Community Slide, Inc. only.
- Ceremonies or activities taking place at the top of the chairlift, base of the chairlift, or elsewhere at Howelsen Hill are subject to the permitting and approval processes of the City of Steamboat Springs.
- Using this form, parties are requesting use of the chairlift and/or alpine slide. If the dates and times are approved by Community Slide, Inc., the wedding party must next apply for necessary permits with the City of Steamboat Springs for all other aspects of the event.
- We have the capacity to accommodate up to around 200 guests.
- Community Slide, Inc. are not wedding planners or event organizers. We focus on getting your guests to and from your beautiful ceremony at the top of Howelsen, but are unable to provide additional services.
- At the present time, there is no infrastructure at the top of Howelsen Hill for weddings (no shelter, power, seating, etc.) and no road access to bring in such items. Some items may be loaded on the chairlift and our ATV, but there is limited capacity. It is a beautiful setting that is ideal for a minimalist ceremony and a fun, memorable experience!
