TOOTH WAXING COURSE PART 2            Hosted at UCI, November 19, 2022
The primary teaching objective of this Pre-Dental Denture and Tooth Waxing Courses is to develop an understanding of the occlusal surface and shapes of the anterior teeth and basic denture teeth set-ups. This technique consists of forming the occlusal surface of the anterior teeth in wax. This presentation is designed to assist the participant to concentrate upon each segment of the tooth surface, while establishing a meaning or reason for its shaping. The new grading system of the courses will allow you to have a better chance of receiving a letter of recommendation! 

This courses are designed to evaluate and enhance the participant perception and fine motor skills at his or her own convenience. It is designed for pre-dental students and dental students. The instructor will provide grade sheets to give feedback on building eye-hand coordination when the participant performs the task of placing melted wax on the manufactured dental models by way of simulating tooth designs step-by-step manual. Also, setting up anterior denture teeth step by step. 

Registration is included as part of the payment process. There is limited seating available of 20 students to allow for maximum one-on-one mentorship and instruction by the instructor. Learning Objectives

1. Learn the basics of tooth anatomy and occlusal surfaces

2. Learn a rapid waxing technique of extensive occlusal rehabilitation of anterior tooth structure

3. Identify, explain, drawing exercises and self-test prior final exam

4. Utilization of dental hand instruments and waxing techniques

5. Correctly name parts of tooth number 8
