The LPS School Health Advisory Council (SHAC), an advisory group appointed by the school district, is a collaborative effort of the Lexington schools, students, family, town and community organizations. The Lexington SHAC addresses the health and academic success of all students through a coordinated, comprehensive school and community approach.
The Lexington SHAC plays an important and necessary role in education, planning, and advocacy for comprehensive school and community health services.

Lexington has a strong and active School Health Advisory Council and is an excellent mechanism for students, families and community members to be involved proactively in supporting/improving the health and well-being of Lexington youth and their families.

We welcome anyone interested in participating to attend SHAC meetings and to get involved in the subcommittees and SHAC sponsored health related events.
