This award, dedicated in 2005, honors Logan Wood, one of the pioneers of athletic training in Texas, especially Houston. More than all his other causes and goals, Logan had an unrelenting drive and always pushed for Texas to become one of the first states to have licensing credentials for athletic trainers.
