Welcome. This is the registration form for the weekend Zen Meditation Retreat at Strathean, April 12-14, 2024. The programme starts with registration at 5pm Friday, a light meal at 6pm, then service training and meditation.

Spaces are limited – we encourage you to register as soon as possible.

This retreat is suitable for beginners. Those who are doing their first retreat will need to have a phone interview before registration is confirmed. Instruction in Zen meditation will be offered Friday evening for those new to MRO Zen practice.

On Saturday the schedule includes 5am wake-up, seated and walking meditation, a talk, liturgy, and work practice. The Sunday programme is focussed around art practice. Guidance in all these areas will be provided as part of the retreat. Sunday concludes with a shared lunch. Participants are asked to engage fully in every part of the schedule and to preserve the harmony of the retreat by staying until the conclusion of the programme.

Cost: $200.

Please don't let financial issues prevent you from attending this retreat. There are some funds available to assist those who cannot meet the full retreat cost. Apply directly by 1 November if you would like a reduction in fees. Applications after this date may not be accepted.
