Project: an open-source and Open Access database
'Funding Observatory for African researchers and policy-makers'
Documentation is available at
https://research-db-docs.netlify.appWe are looking for help to put up the frontend for a minimal product version (approx. 10h) and welcome any hints and recommendations. While we can't offer much in terms of salary we have some funds to acknowledge the efforts. Here are our coordinates:
Frontend Developer (Vue, can consider Vanilla JS or React)
Must have experience:
- HTML/JavaScript/CSS experience
- Vue or React (If you have created a frontend using Vanilla JS that interacts with 1 or more APIs, that would be acceptable too)
- Git
Experience in or willingness to learn:
- GNU/Linux systems
- GraphQL API integration
Role: Create a front-end, from the ground up, that interacts with our API (collaborate with back-end developer as necessary). Include a filtering/search widget that neatly displays some of the following information as an example:
- I am a researcher from Kenya: What programmes are open to me?
- I am looking for funding in biology in all African countries: What programmes are there?
- I would like to get funding from Germany: What are my options? Who are the key German funders for African scholars?
- I am a science policy-expert: Which programmes are funded by more than one funder?
