We're a statewide coalition of progressive grassroots activists supporting and coordinating grassroots activist groups working to elect Bernie Sanders president in 2020.
We work on local and state level issues, and to elect progressive candidates up and down the ballot.
We work collaboratively, connecting with allies in environmental, Democratic, labor, progressive and other groups.
We grew out of Southeast Michigan for Bernie, which organized statewide beginning in spring 2015 to elect Bernie in the 2016 election cycle. In November 2016, the original organizers--grassroots activists and former Bernie staffers--formally aligned the group with Our Revolution. We are an officially approved Our Revolution group, and ascribe to the platform and positions of the national Our Revolution organization.
We strongly support Bernie's February 24th, 2019 statement: "Let us do our very best to engage respectfully with our Democratic opponents - talking about the issues we are fighting for, not about personalities or past grievances," Sanders wrote. "I want to be clear that I condemn bullying and harassment of any kind and in any space."
